COMMENTARY
Bader Qarmout is seeking the Republican nomination for the United States Senate this year. If you read his literature or his website or the newspaper and on-line stories written about him, you will get the impression that he is some big deal professor somewhere. In fact, he teaches part-time at a community college.
There’s nothing wrong in any of this. Candidates often try to pump up the parts of their resume they want voters to focus on. But it’s obviously wrong when a candidate for high public office tries to hide what he’s all about. You can read everything on Bader Qarmout that he puts out but what you will never read is that he owns a bar. It’s a main source of his income and he has held the license – in his own name – for more than a decade.
There’s nothing wrong with owning a bar. In fact, I don’t mind it one bit. But for some reason, Senate candidate Qarmout apparently thinks it is something he should hide.
Earlier this week, the Qarmout for Senate campaign got caught in a scam.
Something calling itself the Tea Party Caucus sent out a notice that it intended to “vet” the Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate. It emerged that Qarmout’s campaign manager, Third Party candidate RoseAnn Salanitri, was President of the same Tea Party Caucus that proposed to do the vetting.
Other candidates for U.S. Senate had been unaware of Salanitri’s conflict-of-interest when they were invited to the event. In public invitations sent out by the Vice President of the Tea Party Caucus, a registered Democrat, Salanitri’s conflict was not addressed.
These ethical issues don’t appear to trouble Bader Qarmout or his campaign. He seems to believe that the rules other candidates are happy to follow for the benefit of their communities don’t apply to him, like ignoring his own town’s regulations regarding campaign signs – putting them up months in advance of the election.
Conservatives are going to have to keep their eye on this candidate.

LaRossa, Salanitri, Falzon, Frech, Qarmout did squat. All THEY are doing is running against the Republican who has the best chance to defeat Bob Menenedez. If they didn't think Joe Kyrillos was conservative enough, they should have put their egos on ice and backed a STRONG conservative like Mike Doherty or Anna Little for the job.
Instead THEY split conservatives and now THEY want to split Republicans.
Why??? It is all because of their ego and because they want to be in charge even if it is of nothing. LaRossa did the same in 2010 when he split the Republican vote for Congress and ruined Dave Larsen's chances. They don't care, so long as they are in charge and making a few bucks.
LaRossa got paid thousands of dollars for the NJCRLC website, after he took it he turned in over to an associate who made it a personal stalker site. That's the problem and everything stems from this. The Tea Party got involved, then Salinitri got all involved, and now Bader is involved and I got to think it would all end if LaRossa did the right thing.
This is a lie. Correspondence exists to emphatically disprove it. It made the rounds last year. Former Senator Richard LaRossa blocked Doherty and Steve Lonegan as speakers. You know that Al Frech because you helped organize that convention. You selected and introduced LaRossa as the convention's keynote speaker.
In your strange way of thinking you went for LaRossa, the most liberal Republican to serve in the State Senate in decades, over Doherty, the most conservative by far. Everybody knows this but you. We get why Salanitri was scammed by LaRossa, it's a chick thing. What is your excuse for being stupid?
"The Battle for Trenton, a TEA party Get-Out the Vote Convention for the 2010 elections," Are you high? That happened in 2011 not 2010 and it wasn't for get out the vote it was to vet candidates. Read about it: http://conservativenewjersey.com/is-the-tea-party-going-rino
Al attacks conservative writer Paul Mulshine (guess Al hates all Ron Paul supporters too) but fails to mention that the PRO-GAY MARRIAGE REFORM PARTY helped finance his 2011 Battle for Trenton. Ouch!
If Al Frech wants to be associated with the comments made by "only the truth" I'm sure it is something he wouldn't mind being sued for.
It's also nice to have him on the record as defending the racist posts and e-mails contained in that GOP State Committee report. Why don't you complain to Sam about how unfairly Qarmount is being treated and see what you get back.
Eichmann needs to do an update to his fellow members and give them a chance to vote on it again.
Eichmann first raised his unshaven mug by being part of the twin loser combo with Bill Winkler in attacking the Battle for Trenton, a TEA party Get-Out the Vote Convention for the 2010 elections. He apparently hated that it wasn't a salute to Eichmann's favored GOP candidates. His other low-brow activity was ( as per Eichmann) sending a letter to the NAACP alleging that the Bayshore TEA party was racist. His attacks on the NJ TEA parties and his association as a "volunteer" with NJ State Sen. Doherty, has only served to cool some grassroots folks on Doherty and further plow under the GOP State Committee.
Sam Raia take notice: Doherty, the GOP State Committee are now associated with Eichmann. You really want that?
Interesting to note that the attacks by Eichmann on the Battle for Trenton and the TEA parties began after Doherty was invited to speak as a candidate at the Battle for Trenton along with other candidates but not as a headliner. Looks like that really ticked off Eichmann and perhaps Doherty. Too bad Doherty pleaded helplessness when advised of Eichmann's vicious attacks on the TEA party.
Eichmann likes to call himself a Conservative, but when your biggest media mouth is the Star Ledger's Paul Mulshine, who apparently believes Mark Levin is a liberal, you have to wonder is Eichmann off the rails? After maligning RoseAnn Salanitri with insinuations he cannot prove, he fails to mention her running in 2010 as a candidate against the favored GOP candidate. Was that a mortal sin according the Book of Eichmann? He seems to have never recovered from that, and still obsesses about her with nastiness. There is medication for that. So whenever he attacks RoseAnn we can be reminded of his obsession with those who refuse to support the Eichmann candidates.
As a master of insinuation, Mr. Nasty needs to be re-vetted. What is his real association with Doherty and the love fest with Mulshine? And who are his favored candidates now? His real reputation on the State committee? Reveal those documents Mr. Eichmann! What are you hiding? Word is that Eichmann's position on he GOP State Committee will be ending...ingloriously. But will his obsessions remain?
One of these nuts had the idea to send the Republican Chairman a letter like they did the last time they where condemned by the state party for being racists. Attacking Eichmann for exposing them didn't work that time also. The NAACP and other groups against racism came to Eichmann's defense and congratulated Republicans for taking a stand.
The people attacking Eichmann here are the kind of low life scumbags who circulated emails comparing the First Lady to a chimpanzee. Glad to see they are all in one place on the Bader Qarmout campaign.
It is time for the state party to stand up to racism again. This time it is coming from friends of Bader Qarmout. Does the college know what he's up to?
"Not him again" cites Bulldog Pundit, a website run by David Larsen's campaign manager. This website is known for publishing racist depictions of President Obama. Chairman Sam Raia knows all about it because he voted, along with the rest of Republican State Committee, to condemn these and similar acts of racism. Check out the Report here:

Mark Falzon is the Vice President of something called the Tea Party Caucus, which is the weird group that hosted last Saturday's event at which nobody showed up. No surprise there, because Falzon, a Democrat, proposed to vet candidates for U.S. Senate in a Republican primary. A vetter should probably start by being registered to vote in the party primary. Like the others, he talks vaguely about "allegations" being "far off" but never ventures to explain how.
"Straight Talker" sounds like someone from the Dick LaRossa wing of the Tea Party (maybe the man himself). Way too much Team Bader excuse making going on here. Bader doesn't want his followers to know about the bar because the religion they all belong to doesn't approve of alcoholic beverages. Funny how alcohol is no good unless you are turning a profit on it. These people don't know a whole lot about ethics in the first place, so trying to explain that having a shadowy group (no FEC, NJELEC, IRS, or state incorporation filings of any kind) run by your campaign manager stage a "debate" at which you appear could be a violation of federal law is wasted on them. I'm not an election law attorney and neither is LaRossa or any of his followers, so I think we should just let the lawyers at the FEC figure this one out.
I thought Bulldog Pundit did a particularly good job of revealing the lowlife scum that, when it crawls out of its hole, calls itself Eichmann:
"Anyone who has been following the Eichmann-Winkler controversy can see that Committeeman Rob Eichmann is a classless twit who can barely put together a sentence when left to his own devices – for example when he takes a shot at live blogging. Eichmann needs a ghost writer more than President Obama needs a teleprompter."

There's more but you get the idea. Should any blog or paper want this guy's tagline soiling their brand? No.
Instead of taking me up on my public debate offer, I notice you penned this second, self serving gibberish attempt to slander. Safe behind the internet, isn't it?
Come on out and face the Tea Party! In public, one on one. You and me. I dare you. Keep hiding, it becomes you.
First, Qarmout clearly states that he is an "adjunct" professor, which disputes Eichmann's claim that he is someway trying to give anyone another impression.
Second, Qarmout doesn't list his numerous real estate holdings, so no attempt to hide his bar is being made. Furthermore, would anyone attempting to hide their ownership of a bar put said entity under their own name?
Next, Joe Kyrillos declined the invitation to participate and the other four (of which only three attended due to scheduling conflicts) were all personally aware of RoseAnn Salanitri's involvement in the Qarmout campaign- or would Mr. Eichmann have you believe that he was a mouse in someone's pocket and privvy to all the conversations that went on between the candidates and Mrs. Salanitri? If anyone questions this, perhaps they should ask the candidates if they were aware or if this is something that was hidden from them.
Regarding the implied conflict of interest - the forum was held to introduce candidates to the public. Questions were selected from two independent Caucus members without the knowledge of Mrs. Salanitri, who expressly requested not to be privvy to the questions. And all candidates were given the opportunity to answer every question. No bias was exercised in any manner. Additionally, no endorsement was made and no candidate was given any preference over another.
Furthermore, insinuations have been made about a conflict of interest. FEC Title 11 Regulations, Page 58, Section D-4 specifically exempts forums from regulated electioneering communication. And it should be noted that no money exchanged hands and no regulated venues of communications were used, and no candidate was given preferential treatment.
If Mr. Eichmann so enjoys twisting, perhaps he should revive interest in Chubby Checkers but leave the inflamatory insinuations to the more naivee among us.
