The "Jersey Shore" cast is ready to break apart -- sort of. Some high-profile cast members of the successful MTV reality series are branching off without their fist-pumping cohorts by their side.

Paul 'DJ Pauly D' Delvecchio is currently filming a spinoff solo series, according to MTV News, and Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and Jenni 'JWOWW' Farley are venturing out for their own spinoff. Both will broadcast in 2012.

The New York Post reports that MTV producers are reportedly scouting locations in northern New Jersey for the new Snooki/JWOWW series. Potential candidates include Hoboken and Jersey City.

“The ‘Jersey Shore’ cast is at the center of the show’s ongoing success and Nicole, Pauly D and Jenni have become household names as a result of their unique, sometimes outrageous and often hilarious personalities,” said Chris Linn, MTV executive vice president of programming and head of production, in a press release. “We’re excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships."

The JWOWW/Snooki show will offer fans an insider's look into their friendship and love lives. Pauly D's series will focus on his burgeoning career as a DJ. The spinoffs come right on the heels of the season five premiere of "Jersey Shore," which drew one million less viewers compared to the season four premiere, according to Variety. To liven up the main series, MTV producers are reportedly looking at Las Vegas and Los Angeles as possible new locations, according to the New York Post.

Rumors about the future of the iconic series have been running rampant on the Internet. Australian news outlets have reported that tourism officials are excited about the possibility of inviting Snooki and company down under.
