NewsJerseyNewsroom.com's Celebrity Magnet Tom Murro has the recent scoop on "Jersey Shore's" Angelina Pivarnick's diva behavior in Atlantic City.
Celebrity Wrestling promoter Damon Feldman's planned match between VH1's Kerry Schwartz and "Jersey Shores" Angelina Pivarnick didn't take place because of Pivarnick's "Diva-like behavior," according to Feldman. The Battle of the Reality Stars was to take place on Saturday, December 4, at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. It started when Pivarnick refused to come down from her room without an escort from the promoter.
About thirty minutes before showtime, Pivarnick finally appeared and tried to bring her underage sister into the event, where alcohol was served. According to Feldman, when a fan asked the wanna-be rapstar for a photo, Pivarnick went full diva, saying that she was "a star," and shouldn't waste her time on "any of this." It ended up with the hotel staff having the Atlantic City police haul her away, although she was not arrested.
Feldman later Murro that it was a paying gig, and he didn't understand how or why the D-lister went off on the fan. He said "I'm appalled by the situation, she was totally unprofessional." He added that he didn't see how she would find work again. She said earlier that appearing on "The Jersey Shore" "ruined my life."
According to several witnesses, Pivarnick appeared to have been drinking, and not prepared for the wrestling match. "The bottom line is I give formerly famous people the chance to step in the ring, they're not gonna kill each other. It's 100 percent entertainment," Feldman declared. He stressed that it is important that the celebrities come in with a clear head, and ready to perform in front of an audience.
Each contestant was to wear specially designed 48 oz. pillow gloves, with proper headgear, and fans were disappointed. Murro was scheduled to be the ring announcer for the event, and "The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Kim Granatell was on the card as the guest referee. The match had its roots several weeks before, when the two had an altercation in Massachusetts.
Kerry Schwartz was the winner on VH1's "Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair," but is probably best known for, as she said, "I got laid by an insect" and was disappointed that the grudge match didn't take place. Pivarnick, who quit MTV's "Jersey Shore" twice over two seasons, released a rap single "I'm Hot" several weeks ago, panned by everyone we've spoken to, was last reported at Harrah's casino later Saturday night.
Feldman told us that this setback wasn't going to slow down his next events, which include Lindsay Lohan's father, Mike Lohan vs. MTV's Dominico in a wrestling match in January 2011. Also in 2011, Feldman told Murro he was concentrating on The Reality Celeb O(lympic) Games, which will include arm-wrestling, tug of war and a Philly Cheesesteak eating competition.
