Tough Casey Anthony questions get answered

George and Cindy Anthony, parents of Casey Anthony, knew they’d want to speak at some point, and figured there was no better place than the Dr. Phil show.

The 10th season of Dr. Phil McGraw’s daytime talk program will open up on September 12 featuring an exclusive interview with George and Cindy Anthony. The New York Times reported that McGraw’s show put out a press release on Tuesday promoting the interview. The release read: “America Watched the Trial,” as a headline; and “Now, Dr. Phil Asks the Questions Everyone Wants to Know.”

According to CBS News, the release said that the Anthonys would not be compensated for the interview, and they requested that a charitable donation be made to Caylee’s Fund, the non-profit organization they formed to honor their late granddaughter.

McGraw said in a statement, according to the Orlando Sentinel, “Cindy and George have suffered a horrific loss with the untimely death of their granddaughter, Caylee, I looked them straight in the eye and asked some very tough questions. Throughout this interview, we explore every detail of their ordeal, and they answer every question I know is on our viewers’ minds. Nothing is off limits during this interview.”

Elsewhere, Casey Anthony's white Pontiac Sunbird was crushed on Thursday and sits in a Florida junkyard, according to an assistant for the Anthonys’ attorney.

CNN reports that on June 27, 2008, Anthony abandoned her Pontiac in Orlando, saying it had run out of gas, according to testimony. It later was towed to a wrecker yard, where it remained until July 15 of 2008, when Anthony’s parents got a letter from the yard to pick up the Pontiac.

Donating to the charity that Cindy and George draw a salary from is the biggest scam! Shame on Dr Phil. I am sickened by the way Dr Phil and the Anthonys are trying to spin this. Further, the Anthonys lied UNDER OATH! What makes Dr. Phil think she has some special power to get these liars to tell the truth? Bottom line, an innocent child was murdered, justice was not served, now Dr Phil, CBS and the Anthonys are attempting to line their pockets with blood money.

The question I'd like to ask is... why was "Lee" Anthony told to "stay out of it"????????

I cannot believe anything the Anthony's say....Cindy had me on her saide for awhile but I do believe at the trial George and Cindy were all in on the BIG LIE with the defense....Went along with all of it....Caylee had no one on her side that the Jury to look at and feel bad for...Little Cayle was just lost....because of all the lies....So The Anthony's got what they wanted "Casey free" so I say to them enjoy.....

In answer to Billie's negative feelings, I disagree. We who watched every day of this trial from the beginning would like to hear from the people on the inside. I in particular would like to know why Cindy would perjury herself for a daughter who caused the death of her precious grandchild and accused her own father of molesting her. That man is in pure agony from all of this. You can see it in his face. I have all the empathy for him. It is a sad situation when you have to face the fact your "own" daughter did this horrible deed. May God Bless George and Cindy. And YES we are still a Christian America.....

In regards to how “Dr. Phil” didn’t pay the Anthonys for the interview, I worked for a non-profit and believe me the people running it made good salaries. So, George and Cindy Anthony will be able to draw a salary and still profit from Caylee’s death just as Dr. Phil and CBS will! It’s sickening to hear the newscasters saying over and over that Dr. Phil didn’t pay them and how he just donated to their non-profit. This is just like when the networks say they didn’t pay for an interview instead they paid the person for pictures; essentially becoming an under the table pay off.
It would be different if Dr Phil made a donation for the interview to an organization that helps children in Caylee’s name. Dr. Phil saying he did not pay them and just donated to their non-profit is just as annoying as when survey takers call you at home and say they are not telemarketers! This attempt of their trying to cover up the truth is pathetic and the bottom line is that George, Cindy, Dr. Phil and CBS are all profiting and making money from Caylee’s death. Hasn’t Caylee given enough already?
