Do people have the image of Tim Tebow living in a little white cottage with a picket fence? How about a “cottage” with four bedrooms that goes for about $10,000 a month?
Tebow just might covet his neighbor's house. The New York Post reported that Tebow was looking at such a property on the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, the same community where Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez lives.
Sanchez’ property and the one Tebow is looking at are next to Olympic swimming pools, and about 30 minutes from the Jets’ practice facility.
Tebow is a golfer, and according to CNBC, one of the two courses at the Trump Club is ranked among the top 100 in the world by GOLF Magazine. The property also houses equestrian facilities, a fitness center and tennis courts.
Some local real estate agents say Tebow’s options may be limited for gated communities. According to Belleville-Nutley Patch, well-known people living in Summit include Jets head coach Rex Ryan, "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer, former Mets and Yankees pitcher Al Leiter, actress Elisabeth Shue., and at one time Jon Corzine.
Other gated communities in the area are The Pointe in Livingston and Llewellyn Park in West Orange.
A guy who lives in Mendham, Governor Chris Christie, told nj1015.com that he wants Tebow to promote New Jersey, and Tebow should live in the state. “I hope he lives in Jersey…listen there’s great places to live in Morris and Somerset Counties,” said Christie.
FOX Sports on MSN reported that Tebow has also looked at Trump Park Avenue in Manhattan and other Trump properties.
