If you found yourself wondering recently about the possibilities of a zombie apocalypse, you’re not alone.

It's no coincidence that the phrase “zombie apocalypse” or “zombie attack” has landed among Google’s top 15 most popular searches over the last three days.

Following the attack of one naked man chewing the face of another homeless man on a Miami highway and growling at police, other cases of horrific superhuman murders have been reported.

Bizarre "zombie" cases date back to 2009, when a Texas a mother was accused of eating her newborn, and in 2010, a U.S. mixed martial arts cage fighter ripped out the heart and tongue of his partner. And now, most recently, a man in New Jersey knifed and flung his intestines at police. Then in Maryland, a college student admitted to eating his roommate’s heart and brain.

Many people have enjoyed the comedic news that links these gruesome cases to a zombie apocalypse on the rise, but for others the news stories power an increasing fear that humankind is destined to fall to zombies.

There has been growing evidence that a zombie apocalypse is plausible in the near future. According to Cracked.com, brain parasites, neurotoxins, brain disorders, neurogenesis, and nanotechnology all show potential threats of creating such a catastrophe.

Zombie Apocalypse in Miami: Bath salt drug abuse is here to stay

As a result of the strange headlines, the Daily Beast has assembled a Google Map recording “instances that may be the precursor to a zombie apocalypse.”

But not to worry. In a recent statement the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has officially announced that a zombie apocalypse is not upon us, according to the LA times.

At the same token, this comes from an organization that released “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse,” warning the public to be prepared at any time for such a disaster.

Stores have already begun to prepare. Ace Hardware in Nebraska has included a “Zombie Preparedness Center,” and Amazon.com features a number of zombie survival kits. According to mercurynews.com, uncrate.com sells a “bug-out bag,” with components such as a pump-action shotgun and titanium fork made to survive a zombie-driven apocalypse.

To some it's a big iron bird, to others it's can be an airplane. Numerous cases have been come across regarding the Zombie Apocalypse. And as it is rightly said, "Prevention is always better than Cure..." I would rather say "Get prepared... Zombie Prepared..."

"This comes from an organization that released “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse,” warning the public to be prepared at any time for such a disaster." The article is a reminder on the importance of having a survival kit for any type of emergency. They are not predicting a zombie apocalypse, instead preparing for any type of catastrophic danger.

The Texas mother incident occurred in 2009. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-07-27-baby-killed_N.htm
The cage fighter (Jarrod Wyatt) killed his training partner in 2010. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/01/jarrod-wyatt-murder-detai_n_596263.html

It's not time to panic. Yet.

OVER the Zombie Crap

This is irresponsible horsesh*t. Two of the four examples cited above (the cage fighter, Jarrod Wyatt, and the texas Mom, Otty Sanchez) are actually from 2010 and 2009, respectively. A few days ago these cases were being dredged up and linked to the current events in some ridculous attempt at scare-mongering. Shame on you.

Children can be conned out of inheritance after multiple marriages

BY CAROL ABAYA NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM THE SANDWICH GENERATION Multiple marriages and blended families can mean children get cheated out of money and assets their parent(s) earned and had before the second or third marriage. At the 2012 senior citizens’ law day conference, Lawrence A. Friedman, Bridgewater elder law attorney, said elders need to protect their children of prior marriages from being disinherited. "Even if your spouse’s current will provides for your children, your spouse may change it after you pass away,” he said. In addition to protecting one's child, an appropriate will can minimize N.J. estate taxes, which kick in if assets are over $675,000. At the conference, Cathyanne Pisciotta from North Brunswick discussed guardianship which could be necessary if various legal documents are not signed. Pisciotta said that if a person does not have a durable power of attorney (for financial affairs) and a living will (for medical decisions), anyone else can seek guardianship of that person. An expensive court proceeding is mandatory. And she said, “If one person seeks guardianship, someone else can challenge the appointment. Another relative may seek to be appointed guardian because he/she wants the money and power.”
