Need to lose weight? 643 pound Pauline Potter found that sex helps

The world’s heaviest woman learned what some have known all along; sex is as good for the body as it is for a relationship.

At 643 lbs., Pauline Potter is the Guinness Book of World Record's heaviest living woman. Earlier this year, she turned to seven-times-a-day marathon sex sessions with her ex-husband to help shed 98 pounds, according to Closer Magazine.

“I can’t move much in bed, but I burn 500 calories a session –- it’s great exercise just jiggling around,” Potter told the magazine.

Potter met her ex-husband online in 2002, when he mistakenly sent an email to the wrong address: hers, according to the Sun. After several email exchanges, the couple began an online affair, the Sun reported. They married in 2005 and were divorced in 2009. Although the two kept in touch periodically with telephone calls, it wasn’t until Potter was named Guinness Book of World Record’s heaviest living woman that they two were reunited – in the bedroom.

“Despite what some may think, Pauline is great in bed. She’s better than any other woman I’ve ever slept with,” Alex has said, the Digital Journal reported. “Within the first day of being back together we had sex six times in 24 hours. Even though one of Pauline’s legs weighs more than I do, we’re able to position her body to make sex enjoyable for both of us."

Sex as exercise is not new, according to Dr. Yvonne Kristin Fulbright, a sex educator and relationship expert, The Huffington Post reported.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Fulbright said, "Shagging can make you slimmer, if you do enough of it. It can also help the two of you fall for each other all over again. Requiring no monthly fee — dress code optional – you can 'sexercise' yourself into shape. This is one gym membership you’ll never want to drop."

Using sex as an exercise tool also improves blood flow, strengthens the heat muscles, lowers cholesterol, improves muscle tone, decreases stress and leads to better sleep, Fulbright, a columnist and founder of Sexuality Source Inc., said.

While Potter's sexercises helped her drop nearly 100 lbs, she has also decreased her daily 10,000 calorie intake.

Children can be conned out of inheritance after multiple marriages

BY CAROL ABAYA NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM THE SANDWICH GENERATION Multiple marriages and blended families can mean children get cheated out of money and assets their parent(s) earned and had before the second or third marriage. At the 2012 senior citizens’ law day conference, Lawrence A. Friedman, Bridgewater elder law attorney, said elders need to protect their children of prior marriages from being disinherited. "Even if your spouse’s current will provides for your children, your spouse may change it after you pass away,” he said. In addition to protecting one's child, an appropriate will can minimize N.J. estate taxes, which kick in if assets are over $675,000. At the conference, Cathyanne Pisciotta from North Brunswick discussed guardianship which could be necessary if various legal documents are not signed. Pisciotta said that if a person does not have a durable power of attorney (for financial affairs) and a living will (for medical decisions), anyone else can seek guardianship of that person. An expensive court proceeding is mandatory. And she said, “If one person seeks guardianship, someone else can challenge the appointment. Another relative may seek to be appointed guardian because he/she wants the money and power.”
