Pantone LLC, Carlstadt, New Jersey (an X-Rite company), has designated Tangerine Tango the 2012 color of the year. It is a spirited reddish orange that provides the spark we need to recharge and move forward in 2012. While Honeysuckle, the 2011 color of the year, encouraged us to face everyday troubles with energy and vigor, Tangerine Tango (Pantone 17-1463), as the color of the year for 2012, is a vivacious, enticing hue. Tangerine Tango marries the verve and adrenalin rush of red, with the friendliness and warmth of yellow to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.
