Why Herman Cains 999 plan works. 9% income tax: Not much to explain here. A flat tax rate that dramatically reduces the overall citizens tax burden! 9% sales tax: I hear the most complaints here. So I hope this helps explain the benefit of the sales tax. The 9% sales tax is actually a replacement for Embedded taxes in the price of products that average 21-23% increase in cost passed down to the consumer. Lets say the Embedded taxes are reduced to...oh...how about 9%! thats a 12-14% difference in cost! that's not an additional tax but a decrease in price folks! That's right.... Lower prices! 13 % decrease in cost - 9 % new tax = 4 % reduction in actual cost! This can't be argued. I love it! 9% corporate tax: 9% corporate tax rate will save business an average of 10-20% or more on gross income! Which business would use to expand, hire, and increase wages! throw in the tax incentives to buy American goods and business will pay even less while helping bring business back from over seas! And to top it all off 999 removes tax from all exports! Along with the lower tax burden pushing the USA back to it's rightful place as a global leader in exports! Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! 999 over view: Prices would not be affected and businesses would have more money to grow along with no capital gains tax and incentives to buy american products and a tax relief to boost exports it would be a massive boom to the American economy! Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! Price paid for goods drops or stays the same and we get more jobs and better pay! Empowerment zones: Modeled to create better living. promotes people (not just the poor) and business to move to those areas. The tax incentives make it much more appealing to operate business, build homes, reside in, and work in those areas, reviving the impoverished areas into flourishing communities! (all families in poverty regardless of geography will receive tax breaks as well!) Cain is the only "politician" to ever offer legislation truly geared toward helping minorities and revitalizing impoverished communities! Political corruption Another driving factor is the elimination of corrupt politicians ability to pick and choose who pays what tax to "buy off" (ie. The giant GE paid no taxes in 2010) or punish business that diagree with their agenda with higher tax burdens. The media and establishment republicans and democrats are terrified of Herman Cain because 999 removes lobbyist and special interest from the equation! Giving power back to the people! The IRS: Another value is the benefit of a dramatically reduced cost for tax compliance! 999 will save billion each year in compliance costs for consumers and business alike! Some economists strongly object and many enthusiastically embrace the 999 plan. But really.... Look where these "economist" ideas have brought us? 999 is simple, transparent, and will most certainly grow our economy. It doesn't take an economist to see the value in 999! American citizens will make an easy conclusion that 999 is indeed bold simple and much needed! Make politicians accountable! Make corporations accountable! Get the IRS off Americas back!
