it is just wrong.....closing the Island...

Ive been going to the Island....as in Bulls.....for over thirty five years.....Ive been there in the good times....and the bad....being the fall of the Twin Towers......which was unpredicable....I have seen with my own eyes the money spend on crazy and rediculous ideas ...such as paving the camp roads....Really!!...but I am also an Arborist and have monitored the conditions over the years....and in my opinion, money wasnt spent in the right places ....such as tending to the forest growth......I look at the money spent to build that monsterous Ranger station.....which they needed...but not on that scale.....but again money not well spent....NJ tax dollars....but in our PC world of doing the right thing....this is not one of them....yes,someone died because of a tree falling....but that is Mother Nature.....I believe closing the grounds to camping is not in the best interest to the forest....but to the interest of possible law suits...ppl will still go back there but the proper predures must be taken....I only pray for the best
