There might have been veterans and disabled people living in those forclosed properties but the Government taxed them out of their homes... they couldn't afford the property taxes that go to fund a failed public school system they don't even use. People should only have to pay for education if they have kids. And they should only have to pay for it when their kids are actually attending school... paying 12,000 a year in property taxes until your dying day is a pretty damn high price for education, don't you think Tittle? The State taxes people out of their homes and then turns around and says...oh sorry! Here's a nice government run home! you can live here! Isn't the Government so benevolent! We've made owning your own home unaffordable so here's a ghetto for you to live in...aren't we nice!
