Actress Lisa Rinna says she’s looking out for a positive self-image for women.
Rinna’s most recent career move was to endorse the new Depends “Silhouette for Women” undergarments. She was joined in the ad by her husband of 15 years, Harry Hamlin, 60.
The Inquisitr reports that in the commercial, Rinna walks down a red carpet speaking to a fake reporter wearing a skintight black dress, but also having the Silhouette undergarment on underneath.
She goes on to explain that Depends will be donating $225,000 to a charity on her behalf. Rinna said, according to Mail Online, 'I'm doing it for Dress for Success, which helps women get their confidence back so they can go back out in the workplace and get their lives back together.'
Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that tries to give women the professional attire and career support they need to find employment.
The former Melrose Place star, 48, joined the Depend campaign aimed at the Baby Boomer generation. According to USA Today, NFL athletes Clay Matthews, Wes Welker, and DeMarcus Ware try on the new Depend Real Fit for Men briefs under their football pants in support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research, which received $150,000 from Depend to help find a cure for prostate cancer.
Rinna and Hamlin called adult incontinence a serious problem. It creates shame and embarrassment and not feeling good about yourself or not going out of the house that you used to be able to do, says Rinna. “I'm someone who loves to empower women and show people you can go for it.”
