The website for Pottermore contains the signature for J.K. Rowling, and reads, “Coming soon.”

Author J.K. Rowling’s newest project came to life when she sent Harry Potter fans a series of clues, and asked them to enter 10 sets of coordinates into a site named secretstreetview.com. A letter was found at each location, and they spelled out Pottermore.

According to the Telegraph, Rowling’s lawyer gave minimal information, and said, "This is not a new Harry Potter book."

The trademark registered by Warner Bros. two years ago describes Pottermore as a service which provides multiple-user access to a global computer information network, on-line chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards for transmission of messages among users in the field of general interest on-line facilities for real-time interaction with other computer users concerning topics of general interest.

EW.com suggests Pottermore translates into Potter Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Experience.” MTV speculates it may be a movie, video game, or a place where Rowling can publish new Harry Potter stories.

Harry Potter fansite The Leaky Cauldron describes Pottermore as "one of the most amazing, engaging and breathtaking additions to this fandom imaginable". The site also has the trailer for Deathly Hallows Part 2, set to be released July 15.
