No space here to remark upon every piece, but Brooke Berman, Marco Pennette, Claire LaZebnik and Annie Weisman also contribute effective works to the mix, which has been neatly arranged by Susan Rose and Joan Stein, who conceived the show.
Pacing matters well upon a simple, attractive set of panels designed by Rachel Hauck that features a tasteful series of projected images, director Lisa Peterson cultivates admirable straight-from-the-heart performances from Mary Bacon, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Randy Graff and James Lecesne.
“Motherhood Out Loud” continues through Oct. 29 at 59E59 Theaters, 59 E. 59th St., New York. Call (212) 279-4200 or visit www.primarystages.org.
