Gov. Christie nominates nine lawyers for N.J. Superior Court judgeships

Gov. Chris Christie has nominated nine attorneys to become state Superior Court judges, his office announced on Tuesday.

The nominees, who must gain the approval of the state Senate to rise to the bench, are: Melanie Donohue Appleby of Toms River, Madelin F. Einbinder of Toms River, Randal C. Chiocca of Wayne, Adam E. Jacobs of Wayne, Lawrence M. Maron of Wayne, Daniel J. Yablonsky of North Haledon, Regina Caulfield of Berkeley Heights, Mark P. Ciarrocca of Westfield, and Kathi F. Fiamingo of Kenilworth.

Christie also nominated four judges for reappointment. They are Peter A. Buchsbaum of Stockton, Faustino J. Fernandez-Vina of Barrington, Richard F. Freid of North Haledon, Margaret M. Hayden of West Orange, and Frederic S. Kessler of Cranford.

The governor nominated Harry Norton of Ramsey to be a Pascack Joint Municipal Court judge and former Sen. Peter A. Inverso (R-Mercer) of Hamilton to a seat on the Capital City Redevelopment Corp.
