The lottery lines are getting closer to forming at your local dealer again, and this time they’ll be playing Powerball.
After the ninth consecutive drawing without a jackpot winner in Powerball on Saturday, the new prize for Wednesday April 25 is estimated to be $173 million, and the cash option payout is $107.7 million.
The Saturday April 22 winning numbers were 6, 8, 20, 42, and 51, and the Powerball was 16.

Lottery Post reported that eight players had the first 5 numbers but not the Powerball to win $1,000,000, none of them being from New Jersey.
But the fortunes of New Jersey’s lottery players is showing signs of changing. Two players from New Jersey won the second prize of $250,000 in the April 17 Mega Millions drawing, while two more won the third prize of $10,000.
According to lottery.com, one of the $250,000 winning tickets was sold in Ocean County at a Pick It Plus store in Barnegat, and the other came from an A&P in Basking Ridge, Somerset County.
One of the $10,000 winning tickets was bought in Bordentown, Burlington County, while the other was purchased in Williamstown, Gloucester County.
It’s nice to see people have good fortune, but others are just abusing the privilege. Lottery Post reported that Virginia Fike of Berryville, Virginia won $1 million in a Powerball drawing from April 7.
But that wasn’t enough. Fike had her numbers picked out and purchased two Powerball tickets in early April. Virginia wound up with two $1 million winners for that drawing, and Fike had both of them.
