Edison police are trying to identify human remains found in the Northern section of a wooded area in of the township Thursday.
Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said a passer-by, whose name has not been released to the media, observed the remains near the Oakwood Plaza Shopping Center on Wood Avenue around 2:15 p.m. and notified law enforcement, MyCentralJersey.com reported.
A press release issued by Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan Thursday evening said the Edison Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office were investigating the grisly discovery.
