The Nutley woman accused of taking her six-year-old daughter into a tanning booth has criticized her critics, calling them jealous and saying the allegations are lies.
"I'm innocent and it's proven... I would never -- never -- put my daughter in a tanning booth. We go out shopping. That's what we do," the deeply-tanned Patricia Krentcil told TMZ last week. "Any mother that makes an accusation about me is not a mother, because I'm a great mother and I would never do that to my child."
Krentcil, who regularly visits tanning salons, faces a second-degree child endangerment charge after police were called to her daughter’s school because the kindergartener complained she was in pain from “a pretty severe sunburn.”
Through her attorney, Krentcil pleaded not guilty in Newark Municipal Court and is now free on $2,500 cash bond.

When asked by a reporter if she considered the case to be a witch hunt, Krentcil said: "Yes. Yes. There's somebody out there on my whole life that doesn't like me because they're jealous, they're fat and they're ugly."
Krentcil initially told The Associated Press that her daughter got sunburned by being outside on an unseasonably warm day in April. New Jersey state law bars anyone under 14 from using a tanning salon.
Meanwhile, Krentcil was roasted on SNL by Kristen Wiig's portrayal on "Weekend Update" in a video that can be seen here.
"It was well done," she said to the New York Post, even calling it "hilarious."
What's not so funny to Krentcil? "Jersey Shore" star Snooki's comments made her hot under the collar.
Snooki was quick to judge Krentcil saying to Extra, "The b---- is crazy. Everyone knows you are not supposed to take kids there."
Krentcil fired back saying of Snooki, "She's the biggest a--hole in the world. She's fake, she's fat, her t-ts are fake, she's disgusting."
Krentcil is scheduled to make her next court appearance on Friday.
