I was my mother and my father's chosen Power of Attorney for several years prior to their both passing away. My father was sent in and out of nursing homes when he periodically got ill. My blind and disabled mother was a permanent resident for around 8 to 9 years They both were treated horibly while in nursing homes and by the Elder Care Section Hospitals. I do not blame anyone for not wanting them selves or their loved ones to go through the Horrors of the Elder Care System and the Probate Judicial System and Governmenty does nothing to assist the Elders and their Families but instead adds fuel to a corrupted and Broken Utilitarian Health Care System which clearly appears to "care" only for financial gains and greedy controls!
