The U.S. Department of Justice called the sexual abuse of a minor charges against a 32-year-old New Jersey woman “shocking in their depravity.”

Mahoney is already being held in Monmouth County Jail on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a minor, child endangerment, and child pornography, according to Manalapan Patch. Her bail is set at $500,000.

According to an Associated Press report in the Washington Post, Mahoney made three pornographic videos exploiting a minor and live-streamed them to a man in Texas.

Njtoday.net reports that FBI agents executed a search warrant at Mahoney’s home in December, and law enforcement officials had taken a computer from the Texas man’s home showing three videos that allegedly show Mahoney having sexual contact with the 5-year old.

Mahoney is partially naked in the videos, and in one clip she sexually abuses the sleeping child, they said. In a video of her next to a bathtub, they said, she tells the 5-year-old girl to bend over so she can rinse her “like a mermaid”.

U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said, according to the Asbury Park Press, “We cannot forget that for every image of ‘child pornography,’ a child will carry the lifelong scars of rape and abuse recorded for others’ gratification.”

Mahoney’s sexual exploitation charges each carry penalties ranging from a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison to a maximum of 30 years, and a $250,000 fine.
