peterson has been called by many as the best player in the draft. There is talk that denver may take him with the #2 pick. That being said, a cornerback is an isolation player. He can shut down a portion of the field, but by himself, he is not a game changer. You can throw to the other side of the field. You can run the ball. A cornerback will not be the first pick in the draft. As good as peterson is, no GM could keep his job if he drafted a cornerback with the first pick if he ignores more pressing needs. I do not believe quarterback is the most pressing need Carolina has. I would draft a defensive lineman. However, all indications so far is that Cam Newton will be the #1 pick..Thanks for the response.

What I know:
1) Im not smart enough to attempt mock draft
2) Before the season there were only four sure things: Peterson, Pouncey, Ingram, and Julio Jones
3) Because of injuries only Peterson and Pouncey remain
4) Pouncey is a center/ guard and Peterson is a shutdown corner and punt returner
5) In hignsight anyone would take Deion or Revis #1
6) Therefore Peterson is the lowest risk highest reward pick for anyone including #1
7) The reasons the teams at the top are picking so high is that their GM will not understand any of this.
